01/30/2023 12:14 PMOn Jan. 23, the Morgan indoor track and field teams competed in the Shoreline Coaches Invitational at Hillhouse. The Huskies produced many good results.
In the men’s 55-meter dash, Jack Bousquet finished with a time of 7.68 in the Preliminary heat. Logan Pernal took 8th place in the women’s 55-meter dash, with a time of 8.04 in the final heat.
Julia White ran a time of 45.43 in the womens’ 300 Meter Run, placing fifth, and Natalie Estabrook’s time of 2:00 in the 600 Meters was good for 12th place.
In the Preliminary heat of the women’s 55-meter hurdles, Brooke Carlisle’s time was 10.83.
On the relay side, Jack Bousquet, Michael Fusco, Seamus Staunton, and Carlos Oliva (1:42) took 6th place in the men’s 4x200-meter relay.
Logan Pernal, Emily Smith, Brooke Carlisle, and Julia White placed 5th, with a time of 1:56, in the women’s 4x200 meters.
Michael Fusco, Seamus Staunton, Carlos Oliva, and Sebastian Kadlof raced a time of 3:55 in the 4x400 meter race, finishing in 4th place.
Gabriella Navarra, Natalie Estabrook, Sophia Morello, and Emily Smith (5:02) placed 10th overall for the women.
The women’s sprint medley relay team (200-200-400-800M) took 7th place, with a time of 4:59. The girls in the race for the Huskies were Logan Pernal, Brooke Carlisle, Julia White, and Natalie Estabrook.
Carlos Oliva placed 7th in the Long Jump for the men (18-06), and Gabrielle Navarra placed 13th for the women (12-04).
The Huskies will next face off in the Shoreline Conference Indoor Track Championship on Friday. Feb. 3.
