The Valley Regional girls’ basketball team took to the road on Jan. 17, dominating Old Lyme by a score of 76-25. A variety of players contributed for the Warriors.

Lily Grow’s 19 points fueled the win for Valley, while Regan Grow collected 12 points on 2-2 shooting from the free throw line. Abby Bradbury scored 11 points, and Siena Schaller had 10.

Olivia Cunningham collected eight points, and Sharmel Rivera, Elizabeth Allen, and Ella Smith each had four. Ella Martinez helped contribute to the victory by adding two points to her season resume.

The win came as the eighth consecutive for the team, and the Warriors improved to 10-2 on the season. They faced Hale Ray on Jan. 24 (after press time) and will hit the road on Thursday, Jan. 26, and Friday, Jan. 27, to take on Fitch and Old Saybrook.
