01/15/2023 10:22 AMThe Haddam-Killingworth boys’ basketball team took on The Academy of Computer Science and Engineering on the road on Jan. 10, taking a loss by a score of 77-64.
Blake Kamoen continued to stay on a roll for the Cougars, as he put up 27 points to go along with 12 rebounds and two blocks. Andrew Crayton followed with 14 points, seven rebounds, four steals and five assists.
Ryan Erskine also found himself in double digits, recording 11 points, two rebounds and one assist. Declan Moriarty also scored ten points Cody Robinson topped it off with two points and one rebound.
After a couple days off, the Cougars returned home on Jan. 13 for a matchup with Westbrook. The final score was 68-51, in H-K’s favor.
Andrew Crayton had a big game, with 25 points, seven rebounds, one steal and one block. Blake Kamoen also contributed 17 points and six rebounds.
Declan Moriarty contibuted to the victory by adding 14 points and one assist, while Ryan Erskine had nine points and two rebounds. Finally, Bryce Olinn found the net for threee points, while collecting three rebounds.
Hoping to add to the Cougars’ win resume, they hit the road to play North Branford on the second of back-to-back game days. H-K put another game in the win column, as they walked away with a 36-31 victory.
Blake Kamoen scored 13 points to lead the team, while Joe Giaccone contributed with nine. Andrew Crayton’s five points helped seal the deal for the Cougars, and Declan Moriarty tacked on four points.
Jay Evans and Ryan Erskine scored three points and two points, respectively.
