12/29/2022 02:17 PMOn Dec. 16, the Haddam-Killingworth boys’ basketball team opened up their season with a road loss vs. East Hampton. The final score was 58-52. There were several standouts for the Cougars, including Andrew Crayton, who scored 23 points. Tate Callendar followed him by scoring 12 points, and Blake Kamoen and Delcan Moriarty each added five points. Ryan Erskine had three points, while Cody Robinson and Tyler Perry each had two.
The Cougars then played their home opener on Dec. 19, in which they fell to Morgan by a score of 67-50. In this contest, Andrew Crayton recorded 21 points and Ryan Erskine was closely behind with 18 points. Blake Kamoen scored nine points and Jason Maziarz added two.
On Dec. 22, H-K grabbed a home win vs. North Branford, winning the contest by a score of 67-52. Several players found themselves in double digits for scoring for the Cougars, starting with Andrew Crayton’s 19 points. That was followed by Blake Kamoen with 16 points, Declan Moriarty with 14 points, and Ryan Erskine with 10 points. Jay Evans scored six points, and Jason Maziarz found the basket for two.
