Old Saybrook Boys’ Basketball Cruises to 2-0

The Old Saybrook boys’ basketball team opened up their season on the road at Hale Ray on Dec. 15. The Rams won the game in a pretty dominant fashion, with a final score of 62-44.

Aaron Tolve led the scoring for Old Saybrook with 23 points and 6 rebounds. London Sweeny had 11 points and 9 rebounds, and Auggie Albert collected 10 rebounds. Brayden Cody racked up 6 points and 7 assists, while Bradley Kulmann had 11 points and 4 rebounds. Josh Lech rounded out the scoreboard with 11 points.

The boys then hit the road and traveled to Wheeler on Dec. 17. Old Saybrook struggled in the first half, as the Rams were trailing 35-26 at halftime and found themselves down by 12 points in the 3rd quarter. However, after outscoring Wheeler 32-20 in the second half, Old Saybrook came out on top by a score of 58-51.

Aaron Tolve led the scoring again for the Rams, scoring 25 points and gathering 9 rebounds. Auggie Albert also contributed, collecting 7 points and 9 rebounds, and Bradley Kulmann had 9 points and 5 rebounds.
