Rosado Swims the Backstroke for the Yellowjackets at State Open

Senior Julia Rosado finished her career with the East Haven-Wilbur Cross-Hillhouse (EH-WC-H) co-op girls’ swimming team by participating in the State Open Championship last week. Rosado competed in the 100-yard backstroke for the Yellowjackets when the State Open was hosted at Yale University on Nov. 20.

Rosado finished in ninth place in the 100 backstroke for EH-WC-H at the State Open. Rosado hit the finish line with a time of 1:00.37 on her way to claiming ninth place for the event. Rosado’s performance resulted in 19 points for the Yellowjackets that put the team in 40th place for the standings at the meet. Rosado had qualified to swim the backstroke at the Open after placing seventh in the event with a time of 1:00.47 at the Class LL State Championship.
