Rams Take Road Loss Against the Warriors

The Old Saybrook-Westbrook (OS-W) football team traveled to Deep River to play a road game against divisional opponent Valley Regional-Old Lyme (VR-OL) on Nov. 16. The Rams took a 46-8 defeat to the Warriors at Valley Regional High School to move to 0-9 overall with a mark of 0-6 in the Pequot Conference Sassacus Division entering their regular-season finale with Morgan.

VR-OL scored the first two touchdowns of the game to take a 13-0 lead over OS-W in last week’s game. The Warriors went on to score three touchdowns during the second quarter for a 32-0 advantage at halftime.

VR-OL added a pair of TDs in the third quarter to increase its lead to 46-0 entering the fourth. The Rams scored their lone touchdown of the game in the fourth quarter for the 46-8 final.

OS-W is hosting divisional rival Morgan for its last game of the regular season this week. The game takes place on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 6 p.m. at Old Saybrook High School. Morgan comes into the contest with an overall record of 2-6 and a record of 2-3 in the Pequot Conference Sassacus Division this year.
