For the second year in a row, the 14-U team of the Branford Girls’ Softball organization sponsored by Jersey Mike’s has capped off an undefeated season by taking home a championship.

This year’s playoffs culminated in a crosstown battle as both of Branford’s 14-U teams, Jersey Mike’s and Mendillo Molars, made it to the final game in the intertown league, which included seven teams from Branford, East Haven, and North Haven. It was an outstanding season for Branford’s 8-U, 11-U, and 14-U squads.

The players on the Jersey Mike’s 14-U team are Madelaine Aguilar, Sofia Falcigno, Mikenna Leigh, Tatum Lipka, Rylee Marshall, Paityn Nelson, Elaina Pakutka, Payton Paleski, Chloe Pompano, Isabelle Szefc, Mina von Hofe, and Brooke Zullo. Ryan Lipka is the head coach of the team, and the assistant coach is Chris Paleski.
