Thursday, Sept. 1
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about identity theft was reported by a resident of 43 Wall Street at 6:53 p.m. Someone opened an unemployment claim in the complainant’s name.
Friday, Sept. 2
No arrests were made.
• A domestic dispute was investigated at 8:24 p.m. Police redacted the location for privacy concerns.
Saturday, Sept. 3
No arrests were made.
• Breach of peace was investigated at Wendy’s, 570 Boston Post Road, at 9:30 p.m. The manager reported that a heavyset man wearing a black hat, yellow shirt, and gray shorts walked into the restaurant and started screaming at everyone. The man left the premises prior to police arrival.
Sunday, Sept. 4
No arrests were made.
• Breach of peace was investigated at 9:47 a.m. Police redacted the location for privacy concerns.
• A robbery was reported at Big Y, 830 Boston Post Road, at 11:02 a.m. Two men operating a motor vehicle bearing New Jersey license plates assaulted a woman and took her purse.
Monday, Sept. 5
No arrests were made.
• A domestic dispute was investigated at 4:19 p.m. Police redacted the location for privacy concerns.
• Harassment was investigated at 7:03 p.m. Police redacted the location for privacy concerns.
Tuesday, Sept. 6
• A 24 year-old Branford woman was arrested at 8:30 a.m. and charged with larceny in the fourth degree.
• A 63 year-old woman of Palmer Road was arrested at 2:55 p.m. and charged with violation of probation.
• Fraud was reported by a resident of 69 Whitfield Street at 4:39 p.m.
• A vehicle repossession of scheduled for 400 South Hoop Pole Road at 5:05 p.m. by Skyline Recovery Services.
Wednesday, Sept. 7
• A 47 year-old North Haven woman was arrested at 9:28 a.m. on the strength of a warrant charging her with two counts of failure to appear in the second degree. While in custody she was also charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, assault on a public safety office, failure to comply with fingerprint requirements, and interfering with an officer/resisting arrest. She was processed on a combined $40,000 surety bond.
• A domestic dispute was investigated at 8:15 a.m. Police redacted the location for privacy concerns.
• A theft from a motor vehicle was investigated at 516 Tanner Marsh Road at 5:08 p.m.
• A caller reported a dead deer in the roadway on Maupas Road North at Rout3 80. Police had the deer removed from the roadway.
• A domestic dispute was investigated at 10:42 p.m. Police redacted the location for privacy concerns.
Thursday, Sept. 8
No arrests were made.
• Fraud via identity theft was reported by a resident of 20 Sugarbush Lane at 5:28 p.m. An unemployment claim was opened in the complainant’s name.
• A theft was investigated at 1116 Boston Post Road at 9 p.m. The caller stated that he was in Walgreens when the cashier mentioned that a customer filled a cart with merchandise and left the store without paying. The caller stated that the cashier did not report the theft to police. The investigating officer spoke to the employee who stated that his/her manager would be in the store the following day and the manager would make the decision whether or not to report the theft to police.
• Harassment was investigated on Bunker Hill Road at 9:27 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 9
No arrests were made.
• Fraud via identity theft was reported by a resident of 254 Tanner Marsh Road at 9:17 a.m.
• A complaint about unwanted persons was investigated at Guilford High School, 605 New England Road, at 1:58 p.m. People were on the tennis courts and would not leave.
• A theft was investigated at Guilford Commons, 1919 Boston Post Road, at 7:13 p.m. A caller stated that two men pushed out a cart filled with items without paying.
Saturday, Sept. 10
No arrests were made.
• A theft from a motor vehicle was investigated on Sam Hill Road at Water Street at 10:30 a.m.
• Suspicious activity was reported at Tractor Supply Company, 2945 Boston Post Road, at 11:37 a.m. The complaint entered the store to shop with her children (one in a portable infant seat). She placed the seat on the floor in preparation to put her child in a cart when a female approached the seat with the child in it and picked it up saying how light it looked. The woman placed the seat back down and left the store.
• A complaint about animals was made by a resident of 98 Pepperbush Lane at 3:26 p.m. A caller reported three goats in his yard. Police responded. No goats were found, only deer.
Sunday, Sept. 11
No arrests were made.
• A larceny was investigated at 169 Willow Road at 8:18 p.m. The complainant reported that a check was stolen from his mailbox and altered.
Monday, Sept. 12
No arrests were made.
• Fraud was reported by a resident of 95 Horseshoe Road at 11:42 a.m.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 1057 Boston Post Road at 4:48 p.m. The caller’s vehicle was vandalized while she was working at CVS. The passenger side mirror was ripped off.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated on the 300 block of Jefferson Drive at 5:15 p.m. A caller reported an ongoing issue with a neighbor. She had her property surveyed and believes that the neighbor trespasses by cutting her lawn. The caller wanted the trespass documented.
Tuesday, Sept. 13
• A 39 year-old man of Alden Drive was arrested at 10:46 a.m. and charged with illegally operating a motor vehicle selling or repairing business without a license.
• Fraud via identity theft was reported by a resident of 87 Sugerbush Lane at 2:25 p.m. An unemployment claim was opened in the complainant’s name.
• A theft was investigated at Guilford Commons, 1919 Boston Post Road, at 5:03 p.m. A male and a female took multiple items from a store and left in a gold or silver colored Toyota Sienna with no license plates and a damaged front bumper.
Wednesday, Sept. 14
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about fraud with a credit card was investigated at XtraMart, 1675 Boston Post Road, at 11:04 a.m.
• Fraud was reported by a resident of 48 Edwards Street at 5:03 p.m. The complainant’s Home Depot card was used without authorization.
• Fraud was reported by the owner of Amanda’s Healthy Cooking located at 33 Water Street at 6:13 p.m. A person called claiming to be from Eversource and demanded immediate payment to keep the power on. The complainant stated that she sent the caller money in the form of Bitcoin.
