Police Incident Report for Feb. 24 to March 2
The North Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.
Wednesday, Feb. 24
No arrests were made.
• A 38 year-old man of unrecorded address was issued a misdemeanor summons at 6:34 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, misuse of plate, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver's license.
• A 19 year-old woman of unrecorded address was issued a citation at 8:31 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while using a hand-held cell phone.
• A 38 year-old New Haven man was issued a citation at 1:39 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while using a hand-held cell phone.
• A 27 year-old East Haven man was issued a citation at 12:44 p.m. for failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart.
Thursday, Feb. 25
No arrests were made.
• A 25 year-old New Haven was issued a misdemeanor summons at 12:56 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and misuse of plate.
• A 49 year-old Northford man was issued a citation at 1:05 a.m. for traveling too fast for conditions.
Friday, Feb. 26
• A 45 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 9:40 p.m. and charged with sale or possession of a narcotic.
Saturday, Feb. 27
No arrests were made.
Sunday, Feb. 28
• A 37 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 5:15 p.m. on the strength of a warrant charging him with failure to pay or plead a citation and creating a public disturbance.
Monday, March 1
No arrests were made.
Tuesday, March 2
• A 21 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 7:21 a.m. and charged with stealing a firearm, risk of injury to a minor, carrying a pistol without a permit, illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle without a driver's license, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
• A 30 year-old Bridgeport woman was issued a citation at 9:07 a.m. for traveling unreasonably fast.
• A 32 year-old New Haven woman was issued a citation at 9:08 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without a driver's license.
• A 72 year-old New Haven woman was issued a citation at 9:34 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while using a hand-held cell phone.
• A 54 year-old Meriden woman was issued a citation at 10:01 a.m. for traveling unreasonably fast.
