Police Incident Report for Sept. 10 to 23
The Guilford Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.
Thursday, Sept. 10
• A 41 year-old homeless woman of New Haven was arrested at 1:04 p.m. and charged with two counts of larceny in the sixth degree, identity theft in the third degree, and charging less than $500 on a revoked credit card.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated at 99 Milford Road at 11:42 a.m. A Home Depot driver had a dispute with the complainant.

Saturday, Sept. 12
No arrests were made.
• A theft from a motor vehicle was investigated at 53 Bonnie Briar Lane at 3:39 a.m. and a wallet was taken from a vehicle at 15 Joyce Street. Credit cards from the wallet were used by the thief. Additionally, two vehicles were entered at 509 Boston Street but no items were taken.
• A larceny was investigated on Adirondack Lane near Nortontown Road at 12:54 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 13
• A 57 year-old man of West Lake Avenue was arrested at 8:38 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.
• A larceny was investigated at Big Y, 830 Boston Post Road, at 7:51 a.m. Cooking grease was stolen.
• A domestic dispute was investigated at 8:10 p.m. The location was redacted by police.
Monday, Sept. 14
No arrests were made.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 200 North Madison Road at 8:06 a.m. The Guilford Lakes Golf Course was damaged overnight.
• A larceny was investigated at 301 East River Road at 11:04 a.m. $500 was taken.
• A larceny was investigated at 900 Boston Post Road at 9:21 p.m. The complainant reported that he was sleeping in his car beside a horse trailer when a homeless man stole his keys.
Tuesday, Sept. 15
• A 52 year-old man of Maplecrest Drive was arrested at 5 p.m. and charged with larceny in the second degree.
• A complaint about a homeless man making a disturbance at Walmart, 900 Boston Post Road, was investigated at 8:29 a.m.
• A larceny via an on-line transaction was investigated at 126 Prospect Hill Road at 12:03 p.m.
• A complaint about littering was investigated on Broad Street at Whitfield Street at 4:01 p.m. A woman reported that the driver of a green Mini Cooper threw trash out the window onto Whitfield Street, and she told the driver not to do that. The driver swore at the woman in response. The complainant wanted the driver spoken to about the incident. Police could not reach the driver.

• The theft of a motor vehicle was investigated at 43 High Street at 10:23 a.m. A Hertz rental Jeep was stolen.
Friday, Sept. 18
• A 50 year-old man of Stillmeadow Drive was arrested at 7:30 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, improper use of marker plate, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway, possession of less than one-half ounce of cannabis, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis.
• A vehicle repossession was conducted at 41 Cunningham Drive by Auto Lock Limited at 12:01 a.m.
• Harassment was investigated on the 700 block of Hoop Pole Road at 1:04 p.m.
• A complaint about fraud via the Internet was investigated at 66 High Street at 3:12 p.m. An ex-spouse allegedly hacked the complainant’s computer devices and disseminated personal information.
Saturday, Sept. 19
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about Internet fraud was investigated at 28 Lisa Court at 5:14 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 20
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about breach of peace was investigated at 1795 Boston Post Road at 12:05 p.m.
Monday, Sept. 21
No arrests were made.
• A theft of gasoline was investigated at 41 Kenneth Circle at 7:58 a.m.
• The theft of a back pack from a city bus was investigated at 1160 Boston Post Road at 1:39 p.m.
• The theft of a catalytic converter from a van was investigated at 48 North Street at 1:53 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 22
No arrests were made.
• A theft of political signs was reported at 616 Leetes Island Road.
• The theft of a television was investigated at Walmart, 900 Boston Post Road, at 8:39 a.m. A man wearing a cowboy hat left the store with a television without paying for it. He left the scene in an unknown direction in a grey Volvo SUV.
• The theft of two matching registration license plates was investigated at 890 Beaver Head Road at 11:46 a.m.
• A complaint about wire fraud was investigated at 620 Colonial Road at 1:14 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 23
• A 43 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 12:59 p.m. and charged with violation of a protective order and possession of less than one-half ounce of cannabis. He was processed on a $15,000 surety bond.
• Harassment via the Internet was investigated was investigated at 77 Nut Plains Road at 12:44 p.m.
• A complaint about fraud via Amazon.com was investigated at 434 Vineyard point Road at 2:56 p.m.
• A complaint about fraud via Amazon.com was investigated at 36 Boston Post Road at 5:43 p.m.
