Police Incident Report for Feb. 1 to 25
The East Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.
Saturday, Feb. 1
• A 22 year-old Wallingford man was arrested at 2:55 a.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the second degree.
• A 39 year-old man of Newark, New Jersey was arrested at 4:25 a.m. and charged with threatening in the second degree. He was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.
• An 18 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 6:45 p.m. and charged with assault in the third degree, breach of peace in the second degree, and possession of less than one-half ounce of cannabis.
Sunday, Feb. 2
• A 24 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 4:10 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.
• A 36 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 10:37 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis.
• A 36 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 9:25 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.
Monday, Feb. 3
• A 32 year-old man of Pershing Street was arrested at 11:25 a.m. and charged with violation of probation. He was processed on a $50,000 surety bond.
• A 31 year-old man of Sunset Road was arrested at 6:48 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway, and failure to grant right of way at a pedestrian crosswalk.
Tuesday, Feb. 4
• A 33 year-old West Haven woman was arrested at 7:38 p.m. and charged with harassment in the second degree.
Wednesday, Feb. 5
No arrests were made.
Thursday, Feb. 6
• A 30 year-old man of Taylor Avenue was arrested at 11:11 a.m. and charged with possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis.
• A 33 year-old Stratford man was arrested at 5:35 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half of cannabis following a motor vehicle stop on Ray Street at Garish Avenue.
Friday, Feb. 7
• A 42 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 2 a.m. and charged with sale of a narcotic, possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis.
• A 47 year-old West Haven man was arrested at 9 a.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the second degree and violation of a protective order.
• A 31 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 11:55 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs following a motor vehicle stop on the 400 block of North High Street.
Saturday, Feb. 8
No arrests were made.
• A 32 year-old woman of Woodward Avenue was issued a misdemeanor summons at 11:05 a.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle and failure to renew registration.
Sunday, Feb. 9
• A 38 year-old man of Batt Lane was arrested at 5 a.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, and failure to appear in second degree on an outstanding warrant following a motor vehicle stop on Mill Street near Foxon Road.
• A 23 year-old man of Hill Street was arrested at 5:40 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, assault in the third degree, and threatening in the second degree.
Monday, Feb. 10
• A 57 year-old man of Catherine Street was arrested at 10:05 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, failure to display plates, and failure to drive upon the right.
• A 32 year-old Rocky Hill man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 4:50 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart.
Tuesday, Feb. 11
• A 23 year-old man of Mclay Avenue was arrested at 11:07 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple-lane highway following a motor vehicle stop on the 1100 block of North High Street.
Wednesday, Feb. 12
• A 39 year-old man of High Street was arrested at 3:24 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, assault in the third degree, and two counts of threatening in the second degree. He was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.
• A 50 year-old Bethany woman was arrested at 12:52 p.m. and charged with possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis and three counts of use or possession of cannabis containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis.
Thursday, Feb. 13 to Friday, Feb. 14
No arrests were made.
Saturday, Feb. 15
• A 34 year-old man of Blake Court was arrested at 4:30 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct. He was processed on a $2,500 bond.
• A 39 year-old East Hartford man was arrested at 4:15 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.
• A 32 year-old man of Coe Avenue was arrested at 10:15 p.m. and charged with larceny in the second degree and robbery in the third degree. He was processed on a $100,000 surety bond.
Sunday, Feb. 16 to Tuesday, Feb. 18
No arrests were made.
Wednesday, Feb. 19
• A 24 year-old man New Haven and an 18 year-old West Haven man were arrested at 2:51 a.m. Each party was charged with burglary in the third degree, larceny in the second, larceny in the second degree, larceny in the sixth degree, conspiracy to commit burglary in the third degree, and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree following a motor vehicle stop on West Frontage Road. The 18 year-old was also charged with failure to appear in the second degree on an outstanding warrant.

Friday, Feb. 21
• A 42 year-old New Haven man was arrested New Haven man was arrested at 9 a.m. and charged with engaging police in pursuit, larceny in the sixth degree, reckless driving, reckless endangerment in the second degree, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.
• A 33 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 1:14 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.
• A 32 year-old North Haven man was arrested at 9:41 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree and violation of a protective order. He was processed on a $20,000 surety bond.
• A 26 year-old man and a 28 year-old man of the same Saltonstall Parkway residence were arrested at 10:38 p.m. Each party was charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree under the Domestic Violence Act.
Saturday, Feb. 22
• A 34 year-old Branford man was arrested at 3:13 a.m. and charged with possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, and failure to have readable license plates following a motor vehicle stop on West Frontage Road.
• A 34 year-old woman of Deerfield Street was arrested at 10:30 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and violation of a protective order.
Sunday, Feb. 23
• A 22 year-old Naugatuck man was arrested at 12:10 a.m. and charged with sale of a narcotic, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis. He was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.
• A 42 year-old woman of Hemingway Avenue was arrested at 10:13 p.m. and charged with assault in the third degree, disorderly conduct, and assault in the third degree.
Monday, Feb. 24
• A 30 year-old man of Taylor Avenue was arrested at 2:06 p.m. and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Tuesday, Feb. 25
• A 27 year-old man of Saltonstall Parkway was arrested at 5:30 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.
• A 43 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 11:25 a.m. and charged with criminal impersonation, interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, larceny in the sixth degree, violation of probation, and possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis. While in custody he was also charged with failure to appear in the first degree on an outstanding warrant. He was processed on a combined $250,000 surety bond.
