Police Incident Report for July 10 to 25
The East Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.
Wednesday, July 10
• A 23 year-old woman of View Terrace was arrested at 10:30 a.m. and charged with possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis.
• A 26 year-old Waterbury man was arrested at 10:46 a.m. and charged with engaging police in pursuit, interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis. While in custody he was arrested on outstanding warrants charging him with one count of failure to appear in the second degree and four counts of failure to appear in the first degree.
• A 49 year-old woman of George Street was arrested at 3:02 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, risk of injury to a minor, possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than one-half ounce of cannabis. While in custody she was also charged with failure to appear in the second degree on an outstanding warrant.
• A 29 year-old man of Roy Street was arrested at 11:05 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.
Thursday, July 11
• A 46 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 1:15 p.m. and charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis.
• A 26 year-old man of Henry Street was arrested at 8:15 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.
Friday, July 12
• A 24 year-old man of Warwick Lane was arrested at 12:10 a.m. and charged with assault in the third degree, unlawful restraint in the second degree, and two counts of disorderly conduct. He was processed on a $75,000 surety bond.
Saturday, July 13
• A 22 year-old woman of Coe Avenue was arrested at 2:30 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.
• A 47 year-old man and a 41 year-old man of the same George Street residence were arrested at 6 p.m. Each party was charged with breach of peace in the second degree under the Domestic Violence Act.
• A 55 year-old man of Shelter Street was arrested at 10 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, and failure to obey a traffic control signal following a motor vehicle stop on the East Haven/Branford town line.
Sunday, July 14
• A 41 year-old man of Rose Street Extension was arrested at 10:37 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and threatening in the second degree. While in custody he was also charged with two counts of failure to pay or plead a citation on the strength of an outstanding warrant. He was processed on a $50,000 surety bond.
• A 40 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 11:41 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.
• A 60 year-old Naugatuck man was arrested at 10:10 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.
Monday, July 15
• A 56 year-old man of French Avenue was arrested at 12:04 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.
• A 71 year-old man of Main Street was arrested at 10:37 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.
Tuesday, July 16
• A 22 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 12:53 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and following too close with intent to harass or intimidate.
• A 37 year-old man of Main Street was arrested at 2:26 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.
• A 54 year-old man of Thompson Street was arrested at 7 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.
Wednesday, July 17
• A 27 year-old woman of Charter Oak Avenue was arrested at 2:15 a.m. and charged with conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license. In the same incident, a 34 year-old man of the same residence was arrested and charged with criminal trespass in the third degree, larceny in the sixth degree, and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree. The 34 year-old was processed on a $1,500 bond.
• A 49 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 8:16 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree, interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, and failure to appear in the second degree on an outstanding warrant. He was processed on a combined $5,000 bond amount.
Thursday, July 18 to Saturday, July 20
No arrests were made.
Sunday, July 21
• A 30 year-old man of Clark Avenue was arrested at 8:20 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs following a motor vehicle stop in front of 80 East Frontage Road. He was processed on a $5,000 bond.
Monday, July 22
• A 46 year-old man of Morgan Avenue was arrested at 1:55 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call. He was processed on a $2,000 bond amount.
• A 22 year-old man of Hill Street was arrested at 4:23 p.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree, operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, failure to wear face protection while operating a motorcycle, and failure to obey a stop sign. He was processed on a $2,500 bond.
• A 49 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 6:16 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.
Tuesday, July 23
• A 34 year-old Torrington man was arrested at 6 a.m. and charged with violation of probation and failure to appear in the second degree on a warrant. He was processed on a combined $11,000 bond amount.
• A 28 year-old woman of Cedar Court was arrested at 8:14 p.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to pay or plead a citation.
Wednesday, July 24
• A 33 year-old man of Main Street was arrested at 1:30 a.m. on a warrant charging him with two counts of failure to appear in the second degree. He was processed on a combined $7,500 bond.
Thursday, July 25
• A 43 year-old woman of Main Street was arrested at 8 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree. In the same incident a 37 year-old man of the same residence was arrested and charged with breach of peace in the second degree, violation of a protective order, and illegal possession of fireworks. The woman was processed on an $1,000 bond and the man was processed on a $10,000 bond.
