The Guilford Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.
Thursday, March 7
No arrests were made.
• A burglary was investigated at 381 Boston Post Road at 7:54 a.m.
• A motor vehicle crash in which a driver evaded (fled) the scene was investigated at Guilford High School, 605 New England Road, at 10:08 a.m.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 365 Old Whitfield Street at 12:59 p.m. The complainant received a call from someone claiming to be from the Social Security Administration.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on River Colony at 3:17 p.m.
Friday, March 8
No arrests were made.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 1311 Little Meadow Road at 9:03 a.m. Repeat mailbox destruction was captured on a surveillance recording.
• A motor vehicle crash involving a damaged mailbox in which the offending driver evaded (fled) the scene was investigated at 300 Great Hill Road at 5:13 p.m.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 224 Mulberry Point Road at 11:25 p.m.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 300 block of Peddlers Road at 12:41 a.m.
• A lost or stolen license plate was reported at 911 Hoop Pole Road at 3:39 p.m. It could not be confirmed that the plate was stolen. The vehicle was parked in a snow mound earlier in the day and the plate may have been knocked off and left behind.
• Harassment was investigated at Mulberry Plaza, 1200 Boston Post Road, at 6:16 p.m.
• A domestic dispute was investigated at 8 p.m. The location was redacted by police.
• A landlord/tenant dispute was investigated on Ironwood Road at 8:30 p.m.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on Maple Hill Road at 9:35 p.m.

• A domestic dispute was investigated on Leighton Trail at 10:46 a.m.
Tuesday, March 12
• A 45 year-old woman of last known address at an apartment located at 500 Route 80 was arrested at 6:18 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.
• Harassment was investigated at Christ Episcopal Church, 11 Park Street, at 9:18 p.m. Details of the incident were redacted by police.
• Harassment was investigated on Ironwood Road at 11:18 a.m.
• A motor vehicle crash was investigated in front of 111 County Road at 5:12 p.m. An Eversource utility pole was snapped. Wires and electrical transformer were knocked down.
Wednesday, March 13
• A 33 year-old North Branford man was arrested at 10:15 a.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, larceny in the fourth degree, two counts of burglary in the second degree, two counts of criminal attempt to commit burglary in the third degree, and three counts of criminal mischief in the second degree.
Thursday, March 14
No arrests were made.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 425 Maupas Road at 10:06 a.m. An unauthorized account was opened in the complainant’s name.
Friday, March 15
No arrests were made.
• Harassment was investigated at 19 Goose Lane at 7:57 a.m. The complainant received an email that caused concern.
• Ongoing neighbor trouble was investigated on the 300 block of Old Sachems Head Road at 11:34 a.m. A fuel truck could not make a delivery to the complainant’s residence because of a contractor’s vehicles blocking the way. The construction workers complied with the officer’s request to move their vehicles to one side, and the gas was delivered.
Saturday, March 16
No arrests were made.
• A domestic dispute was investigated at 10:55 a.m. The location was redacted by police.
• Littering was reported at 52 Graves Avenue at 1:56 p.m. Wine bottles were thrown over a fence.
Sunday, March 17
• A 47 year-old Orange man was arrested at 6:30 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, disorderly conduct, criminal attempt to commit assault in the third degree, criminal violation of a restraining order, and threatening in the second degree.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 570 New England Road at 10:50 a.m. A vehicle’s driver’s side window was smashed. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

• A motor vehicle crash in which a driver evaded (fled) the scene was investigated at 12:31 a.m.
Tuesday, March 19

• A vehicle repossession was conducted at 4776 Durham Road at 8:32 a.m.
• A noise complaint was investigated on Ironwood Road at 1:21 p.m.
Wednesday, March 20

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 5 Meadowlands Road at 3:28 p.m. Details of the incident were redacted by police.
• A motor vehicle crash in which the offending driver evaded (fled) the scene was investigated at 60 Mohawk Trail at 4:53 p.m. The incident occurred during the day. There was no witness and no description of the offending vehicle.
• A complaint about an erratically operated blue pick-up truck was investigated on Boston Post Road at West Lake Avenue. A caller reported that the truck crossed the center line and almost struck another vehicle head on. The offending vehicle was last seen head northbound on West Lane Avenue.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 135 Mirror Lane at 6:53 p.m.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 2400 block of Boston Post Road at 11:07 p.m. Details of the incident were redacted by police.

• A motor vehicle crash involving a deer was investigated on Flag Marsh Road near Long Hill Road at 8:23 a.m. The deer left the scene.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 16 North Street at 9:39 p.m. A scam phone call was received about a grandson being held. The complainant did not give the caller any information.
• A dead deer was found on Flag Marsh Road at 11:48 p.m. The Department of Public Works was notified for removal of the carcass.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 2400 block of Boston Post Road at 10:48 p.m.

• Criminal mischief was investigated on Driftwood Lane at Laurel Brook Lane at 8:29 a.m. A stop sign was spray painted.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on Leighton Trail at 9:26 a.m.

• A 65 year-old woman of Woodland Road was arrested at 12:45 and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• A 54 year-old woman of Durham Road was arrested at 12:15 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree and breach of peace in the second degree.
• A 46 year-old man of Durham Road (different from the prior address) was arrested at 8:45 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree, stalking in the second degree, and harassment in the second degree.
• A 42 year-old woman of Saginaw Trail was arrested at 9:48 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and assault in the third degree.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 1200 block of Boston Post Road at 12:22 p.m.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 146 Colonial Road at 12:41 p.m. A window on the second floor of the residence was hit with a single egg. The complainant did not wish to have an officer respond to the scene, just to have the incident documented.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated on lower Hoop Pole Road at 6:06 p.m. Ongoing problems were reported with people on dirt bikes and quads riding on the roads.
Monday, March 25

• Criminal mischief was investigated at 1973 Long Hill Road at 2:44 a.m. A mailbox was knocked over.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 1909 Long Hill Road at 2:45 a.m. Several rolls of toilet paper were all over the road. It appeared someone had attempted to throw the toilet paper over the power lines.
• Criminal mischief was investigated on Bearhouse Hill Road at 9:54 a.m. Graffiti was painted on the concrete block by the trail head.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 12 Bentons Knoll at 11:38 a.m. The residence was egged some time over the weekend.
• Harassment via text was reported at 2 Water Street at 7:51 p.m.

• Police were informed of a vehicle repossession planned by Skyline Recovery for 418 Whitfield Street at 6:10 a.m.
Thursday, March 28
• A 26 year-old North Haven man was arrested at 11 a.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and assault in the third degree.
• A hazard was reported on Boston Post Road near Tanner Marsh Road at 7:32 a.m. by an anonymous caller. A large amount of water was flowing up from the ground and onto the roadway. Connecticut Water Company was notified.
• Harassment was investigated on Park Street at 7:45 a.m.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated on the 300 block of Woodland Road at 8:52 a.m. A complainant in New Haven stated that neighbors to a home his workers were working in Guilford at were being harassed.
• An assault was investigated at 10:39 a.m. All details of the incident were redacted by police.
• Breach of peace was investigated on Hubbard Road at 5:30 p.m.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 444 Schoolside Lane at 6:39 p.m.
• Sexual assault was investigated at 10:08 p.m. All details of the investigation were redacted by police.

• A 60 year-old woman of Sawpit Road was arrested at 7:15 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.
• A complaint about fraud via computer was investigated at 191 Long Hill Road at 10:08 a.m.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 47 Sugarbush Lane at 5:47 p.m. A cell phone account was hacked.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on Saw Pit Road at 6:48 p.m.
• A cannabis possession incident was investigated at 8 p.m. All details of the incident were redacted by police.

• A 27 year-old Trumbull man was arrested at 3:47 a.m. and charged with conspiracy to commit burglary in the first degree, burglary in the third degree, possession of burglary tools, conspiracy possess burglary tools, criminal mischief in the first degree, conspiracy to commit criminal mischief in the first degree, criminal mischief in the third degree, larceny in the third degree, and conspiracy to commit larceny in the third degree.
