Police Incident Report for Dec. 19 to Jan. 8
The North Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.
Wednesday, Dec. 19
• A 66 year-old North Branford man was arrested at 8:30 a.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.
• A 48 year-old Hamden woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 11:57 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension
Thursday, Dec. 20
No arrests were made.
• A 38 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 9:38 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
• A 29 year-old North Branford man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 4:53 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and speeding.
Friday, Dec. 21
• A 37 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 9:15 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.
• A 55 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 9:52 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to obey a traffic control signal, and having improper rear marker lamps.
Saturday, Dec. 22
No arrests were made.
• A 38 year-old North Branford man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 3:11 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
Sunday, Dec. 23
• A 26 year-old West Haven man was arrested at 1:30 a.m. and charged with two counts of violation of probation.
• A 24 year-old man of Quinnipiac Avenue was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:19 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
• A 31 year-old man of Butler Road was issued a citation at 11:09 a.m. for possessing a vicious/barking dog and permitting a dog to roam at large.
Monday, Dec. 24 to Tuesday, Dec. 25
No arrests were made.
Wednesday, Jan. 2
• A 47 year-old man of Rock Road was arrested at 8 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and violation of a protective order.
• A 22 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 5:40 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, failure to register a commercial vehicle, misuse of plate, and improper license classification for vehicle driven.
• A 67 year-old New Haven woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 11:57 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and falsifying a marker plate, license, or registration.
Thursday, Jan. 3
No arrests were made.
• A 53 year-old New Britain woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 2:22 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
Friday, Jan. 4
No arrests were made.
• A 34 year-old New Haven woman was issued a misdemeanor summons at 5:38 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, failure to carry insurance card, and misuse of plate.
• A 24 year-old New Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:40 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension and failure to obey a stop sign.
Saturday, Jan. 5
• A 49 year-old woman of North Avenue was arrested at 14:48 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree.
• A 51 year-old man of North Avenue man was arrested at 11:48 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree and disorderly conduct.
Sunday, Jan. 6
No arrests were made.
Monday, Jan. 7
• A 20 year-old Hamden man was arrested at 5 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.
Tuesday, Jan. 8
• A 47 year-old man of Elm Street was arrested at 8 p.m. and charged with larceny in the fourth degree and fraudulent use of an automatic teller machine.
From Dec. 19 to Jan. 8, North Haven police issued eight citations to motorists for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, three citations for failure to obey a control signal, two citations for operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, two citations for failure to have rear marker lamps, two citations for traveling unreasonably fast, two citations for failure to obey a stop sign, and two citations for failure to renew registration. One citation was issued for each of the following: failure to drive upon the right, failure to remain a reasonable distance apart, unsafe passing, distracted driving, and failure to carry registration paper or insurance card.
