Thursday, Oct. 18
No arrests were made.
• Suspicious activity was investigated on Maupas Road at 3:06 a.m. A complainant reported that a silver Jeep Cherokee and a small green Toyota were being driven up and down side streets with flashers engaged. Police learned the vehicles were being operated by newspaper delivery persons.
• A student was reported stuck in an elevator at Guilford High School, 605 New England Road, at 9:51 a.m. The student got out and was okay.
• Police escorted a woman while she returned items to her father, and had a vehicle title signed, at Boston Terrace at 5:39 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 19
• A 64 year-old Branford man was arrested at 2 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Suspicious activity was investigated at Walmart, 900 Boston Post, at 5:05 p.m. Loss prevention reported that two white males were in the store loading up carriages and they had a green Nissan without plates parked in front of the store. Four police officers responded to handle the incident.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated at Guilford High School, 605 New England Road, at 6 p.m. Police responded to the parking lot in front of the football field.
Saturday, Oct. 20
No arrests were made.
• Suspicious activity was investigated on the 300 block of State Street at 10:42 a.m. A complainant stated that she believed someone was attempting to steal the hubcaps from her white Volkswagen. No description of the suspect was given. The complaint was an ongoing issue.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 49 Hawthorne Road at 3:41 p.m.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 132 Race Hill Road at 4:50 p.m. A vehicle window was broken.
Sunday, Oct. 21
No arrests were made.
• A larceny was investigated at 223 Flat Meadow Road at 9:13 a.m. A “Veteran Lives Here” sign valued at $20 was taken from the yard during the overnight hours.
Monday, Oct. 22
No arrests were made.
• A burglary was investigated at 1046 Boston Post Road at 12:20 a.m.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 244 Church Street at 3:47 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 23
No arrests were made.
• Harassment was reported on the 200 block of Maupas Road at 5:47 p.m.
• A theft of items from a motor vehicle was investigated at Walmart, 900 Boston Post Road, at 5:28 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 24
• A 36 year-old man of Whitfield Street was arrested at 1:40 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.
• A 41 year-old Bethany man was arrested at 6:34 p.m. and charged with three counts of criminal violation of a restraining order.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at 47 Deerfield Drive at 7:26 a.m. A vehicle was keyed during the overnight hours.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 5 Inwood Drive at 9:45 a.m.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 3 Boston Terrace at 5:29 p.m. A complainant found a fraudulent charge on his credit card and would like it documented.
• A complaint about an erratic driver was investigated on Water Street at 5:54 p.m. The incident was noted as an ongoing issue.
Thursday, Oct. 25
• A 23 year-old man of Old Whitfield Street was arrested at 5:55 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, disorderly conduct, and criminal trespass in the first degree.
• A complaint about fraud via receipt of a fake check was investigated at 23 Water Street at 12:44 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 26
• A 33 year-old East Haven man was arrested at 8:45 a.m. and charged with six counts of illegally obtaining a prescription drug, four counts of illegally obtaining drugs from a second medical doctor, and four counts of cruelty to animals.
• A breach of peace incident was investigated at 1919 Boston Post Road at 12:22 p.m. A man and a woman with a dog yelled at the complainant because of how she parked her vehicle.
• A raccoon was reported in a chimney at 790 Moose Hill Road at 1:17 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 27
No arrests were made.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 1400 block of Hoop Pole Road at 2:46 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 28
No arrests were made.
• Criminal mischief was investigated on River Street at 3:08 p.m. Two middle-school-aged youths spray-painted masks on a park bench on River Street. One youth was wearing a mask on top of his head. Both wore dark clothing and carried backpacks.
Monday, Oct. 29
• A 22 year-old man of Shore Drive was arrested at 2 a.m. and charged with sexual assault in the fourth degree, obtaining drugs illegally, failure to keep a narcotic in its original container, possession of greater than one-half ounce of cannabis, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
• A motor vehicle in which a driver evaded (fled) the scene was investigated at a restaurant located at 2 Water Street at 12:50 p.m.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on Indian Cove Road at 4:57 p.m.
• Disorderly conduct was investigated on the lower 1000 block of Boston Post Road. A caller reported that a young male wearing a black shirt and riding a skateboard was yelling profanities at passing vehicles.
Tuesday, Oct. 30
No arrests were made.
• A domestic dispute was investigated below the 100 block of Boston Post Road at 9:02 a.m.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at Guilford High School, 605 New England Road, at 11:50 a.m.
• A vehicle repossession was conducted at 274 Church Street by York Service Center at 12:11 p.m.
• Threatening was investigated on the 500 block of Boston Post Road at 2:23 p.m.
• Harassment was investigated on Broad Street at 10:09 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 31
No arrests were made.
• A burglary was investigated at 652 Boston Post Road at 7:38 a.m.
• An attempted burglary was investigated at 641 Boston Post Road at 8:51 a.m.
• An attempted burglary was investigated at 637 Boston Post Road at 8:57 p.m.
• A burglary was investigated at 643 Boston Post Road at 9:11 a.m.
• An attempted burglary was investigated at 647 Boston Post Road at 9:14 a.m.
• Harassment was investigated on the 200 block of Willow Road at 11:12 a.m.
• An attempted burglary was investigated at 633 Boston Post Road at 2:17 p.m.
