Police Incident Report for Aug. 22 to 28


The North Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Wednesday, Aug. 22

• A 31 year-old man of South Avenue was arrested at 11 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and violation of a protective order.

Thursday, Aug. 23

No arrests were made.

Friday, Aug. 24

• A 46 year-old man of Clintonville Road was arrested at 10:15 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree and breach of peace in the second degree.

Saturday, Aug. 25

No arrests were made.

Sunday, Aug. 26

No arrests were made.

• A 22 year-old man of Southgate Lane was issued a citation at 12:41 p.m. for possession of less than one-half ounce of cannabis.

Monday, Aug. 27

No arrests were made.

Tuesday, Aug. 28

• A 35 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 9:59 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle.

From Aug. 22 to 28, North Haven police issued two citations to motorists for failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart and two citations for failure to obey a control signal. One citation was issued for each of the following: failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, traveling unreasonably fast, failure to obey s stop sign, failure to obey state traffic commission road markings, making an improper turn, failure to carry insurance card, and traveling too fast for conditions.
