Police Incident Report for Nov. 9 to 15
The Source publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in Madison and Killingworth. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.
Madison
Wednesday, Nov. 2
• A 49 year-old woman of Green Hill Road was arrested at 2:30 a.m. and charged with criminal violation of a protective order. In the same incident a 47 year-old man of the same resident was arrested and charged with the same.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 200 block of Green Hill Road at 1:15 a.m.
Thursday, Nov. 3
No arrests were made.
• A landlord tenant dispute was investigated on the 200 block of Green Hill Road at 10:35 a.m.
• The theft of a bicycle was investigated at 400 Summer Hill Road at 3:39.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on the 200 block of Fort Path Road at 10:17 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 4
• A 34 year-old Bridgeport man was arrested at 3 p.m. on a warrant charging him with stalking in the first degree and criminal violation of a restraining order.
• A littering violation was investigated on Summer Hill Road at Bunnell Bridge Road at 8:57 a.m.
• A theft of mail was investigated at 44 Northwood Road at 12:16 p.m. and at 52 Northwood Road at 1:06 p.m.
• A motor vehicle accident on private property was investigated in front of 42 Old post Road at 2:08 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 5
No arrests were made.
• A motor vehicle accident involving animal was investigated on Durham Road at Woodlawn Road at 9:13 a.m.
• A residential theft was investigated at 142 Beach Avenue at 12:34 p.m.
• Criminal mischief on private property at 12 Deepwood Drive at 7:06 p.m.
• Criminal mischief on private property was 227 Bartlett Drive at 7:17 a.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 8
• A 55 year-old man of unrecorded address was arrested at 10:54 a.m. and charged with larceny in the fifth degree, two counts of larceny in the sixth degree, and two counts of possession of a shoplifting device.
• A 20 year-old man of Michele Lane was arrested at 3:30 p.m. and charged with assault in the third degree.
• A motor vehicle accident involving an animal was investigated on Old Toll Road at Summer Hill Road at 7:15 a.m.
• A motor vehicle accident without injuries was investigated on Boston Post Road at Durham Road at 11:53 a.m.

• A complaint about an unwanted person or persons was investigated at 43 High Hill Road at 12:20 p.m.
• A theft was investigated at 170 Devonshire Lane at 2:25 p.m.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 155 Bishop Lane at 3:15 p.m.
• A theft was investigated at 97 Mungertown Road at 4:02 p.m.
• Criminal mischief was investigated on private property at 45 Sylvan Road at 4:20 p.m.

• A motor vehicle accident involving an animal was investigated on Durham Road at Northwood Road at 7:20 a.m.
Friday, Nov. 11
• A 48 year-old West Haven woman was arrested at 9:12 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, drinking while driving a motor vehicle, and failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway following a motor vehicle stop on Meeting House Lane.
• A burglary was investigated at 15 Tamarac Drive at 6:47 a.m.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 402 Durham Road at 10:01 a.m.
• Entrapment (non-fire related) was reported at 74 Wall Street at 11:08 a.m.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 27 Buck Hill Road at 2:15 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 13
• A 52 year-old man of an Opening Hill Road was arrested at 8:25 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• A 32 year-old West Haven man was arrested at 10:55 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs following a motor vehicle stop on Route 80 near Race Hill Road.
• A 45 year-old man of Hickory Lane was arrested at 11:55 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (second time arrested for this offense following conviction for a prior DUI arrest) and violation of probation.
• A theft from a motor vehicle was investigated at 94 Cottage Road at 10:25 a.m.
• A theft from a residence was investigated at 4 Cohasset Lane at 1:12 p.m.

• A complaint about an unwanted person or persons was investigated at 1059 Durham Road at 9:55 a.m.
• Vandalism was investigated at 79 Forest Road at 1:46 p.m.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 296 Neck Road at 3:49 p.m.
• A motor vehicle accident on private property was investigated at 136 Samson Rock Drive at 4:83 p.m.

• A motor accident was investigated on Route 80 at 6:04 p.m. A 61 year-old man of Chestnut Hill Road was operating a 2015 Subaru westbound on Route 80 three-tenths of a mile west of Chestnut Hill Road when he struck a deer that ran into the roadway. The Subaru rolled backward after the collision and struck a 2009 Volvo operated by a 39 year-old woman of Little City Road that was traveling behind. No injuries were reported of observed. No enforcement action was taken.

• A 47 year-old Madison man was issued a citation at 3:13 p.m. for failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart after the 2001 Mercedes-Benz he was operating southbound on Route 70 north of Route 148 struck the rear of a 2015 Porsche Boxster operated by a 53 year-old man of Pine Orchard Lane who was stopped to make a left turn onto Route 148.

• A motor vehicle accident was investigated at 4:34 p.m. on Chestnut Hill Road. A 41 year-old Haddam man was operating a 1989 Grumman LLV-A on Chestnut Hill Road when the driver’s extended side mirror struck the driver’s side extended mirror of a 2010 Xpeditor operated by a 43 year-old Guilford man. No enforcement action was taken against either driver.

• An 88 year-old man of Route 148 was issued a written warning at 2:13 p.m. for failure to grant right of way at an intersection after the 2006 Chrysler Pacifica he was operating southbound on Route 81 struck a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport operated by a 16 year-old Higganum girl. No injuries were reported or observed.

• An 18 year-old man of Little City Road was issued a citation at 2:24 a.m. for making an improper turn after he swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway while operating a 1996 Ford F350 northbound on Roast Meat Hill Road and struck a wire-rope guardrail.
• A one-vehicle accident was investigated on Green Hill Road at 5:12 p.m. A 40 year-old Madison woman was operating a 2013 Hyundai Santa FE eastbound on Green Hill Road when she drifted off the roadway and struck a utility pole. No injuries were reported or observed.
