Police Incident Reprot for March 23 to 29
The Source publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in Madison and Killingworth. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.
Madison
Wednesday, March 23
An 18 year-old man of River Road was arrested at 1:23 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway, possession of less than ½ ounce of marijuana, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than ½ ounce of marijuana. In the same incident a 20 year-old man of the same residence was charged with interfering with an officer, possession of less than ½ ounce of marijuana, and use or possession of drug paraphernalia containing less than ½ ounce of marijuana.
• An animal nuisance was reported at 1362 Boston Post Road at 9:15 a.m.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 196 Durham Road at 4:50 p.m.
• A residential theft was investigated at 42 Suffolk Drive at 5:32 p.m.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 37 Overbrook Road at 6:39 p.m.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 613 Boston Post Road at 6:57 p.m.
• A motor vehicle was investigated in front of 26 Meeting House Lane at 9:28 p.m.

Saturday, March 26
• A 35 year-old man of Flintlock Road was arrested at 1:57 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, traveling unreasonably fast, and failure to drive right. Occupation: delivery man.
• A motor vehicle accident involving an animal was investigated in front of 665 Boston Post Road at 12:44 a.m.
• A missing adult report was investigated on Kelsey Spring Drive at 1:19 a.m.
• A motor vehicle accident with injuries was investigated in front of 140 Flintlock Road at 1:40 a.m.
• A motor vehicle accident of private property was investigated 613 Boston Post Road at 5:04 p.m.
Sunday, March 27
No arrests were made.
• A motor vehicle accident on private property was investigated at 9 Pepperwood Court at 7:40 a.m.
• Threatening was investigated at 56 River Edge Farms Road at 10:19 p.m.
Monday, March 28
No arrests were made.
• An appliance fire was reported at 260 Durham Road at 11:16 a.m.
• A complaint about fraud was investigated at 123 Hunters Trail at 1:18 p.m.
Tuesday, March 29
No arrests were made.
• Neighbor trouble was investigated at 109 River Road at 10:09 a.m.
Killingworth
Wednesday, March 23

Thursday, March 24
No arrests were made.
• A 59 year-old Deep River man was issued a citation at 12:53 p.m. for failure to yield to oncoming traffic while making a left turn into a private driver. The cited driver was operating a 2004 Volvo V70. The other driver, a 67 year-old Clinton man, was operating a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta. No injuries were observed or reported at the scene.
• A larceny was investigated at 13 Kimberly Lane at 6:10 p.m. Forced entry was made and copper piping was taken from the basement of the residence. Anyone with information about this theft is asked to contact Trooper John Swokla at the Troop F barracks at 860-399-2100. All called will be kept confidential.
