• A 31 year-old Guilford man was arrested at 3:23 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• A goose was reported in the roadway on the 900 block of Boston Post Road at 7:59 a.m. When the animal control officer arrived the goose was on top of a building and was out of reach.
Sunday, March 29
No arrests were made.
• Criminal mischief was investigated at Baldwin school, 88 Bullard Drive, at 11:57 a.m. A vehicle drove over a lawn.
• A theft of medication was investigated at 12 Alden Drive at 3:49 p.m.
Monday, March 30
No arrests were made.
• Identity theft involving false IRS tax returns were investigated at 58 Vineyard Avenue at 5:39 p.m., 111 Tupelo Lane at 6:55 p.m., and 421 Willow Road at 7:21 p.m.
Tuesday, March 31
No arrests were made.
• Identity theft involving a false IRS tax return was investigated at 90 Seaside Avenue at 12:42 p.m.
Wednesday, April 1
No arrests were made.
• A resident at 63 Fair Street reported a strange smell in the basement of something that had perhaps died. The animal control officer was "unable to locate anything in [said] basement dead or alive."
• A mailbox and planter were damaged at 150 Dromara Road at 3:47 p.m.
• A resident of Guilford Court reported having a "run in" with a person visiting a neighbor. The visiting person was described as being an alcoholic.
During the week of March 26 to April 1 Guilford Police received 120 calls for service. Police made three arrests, investigated 24 motor vehicle accidents, and issued 17 citations, 44 written warnings, three verbal warnings, and no parking tags. Police also responded to two false burglar alarms. A total of 234 incidents were handled by police.
