Clinton Police Incident Report for Aug. 14 to 16
Thursday, Aug. 14
• A 51 year-old man of Iroquois Drive was arrested at 3:53 p.m. on a warrant charging him with violation of probation/conditional discharge.
• A 19 year-old man of Elmwood Way was issued a misdemeanor summons at 1:01 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension, failure to renew registration, and failure to comply with lamp or reflector requirements following a motor vehicle stop on High Street at Old Mill Road. In the same incident a 19 year-old man of Thrush Cross Road and a 17 year-old juvenile were each charged with possession of alcohol by a minor.
• A 56 year-old man of Leffingwell Road was issued a misdemeanor summons at 9:19 a.m. for owning or harboring a nuisance animal (subsequent charge for this repeat offense).
• A 26 year-old man of an Oak Ridge Drive apartment was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:29 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension on East Main Street.
• A 51 year-old Vernon man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 8:20 p.m. for disorderly conduct and reckless use of a highway by a pedestrian on Killingworth Turnpike.
• Threatening was investigated on Pearl Street at 2:45 p.m.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on Glenwood Road at 7:37 p.m.
• Clinton police began an active search for the missing person; 16 year-old Samuel Foley of Clinton. A Silver Alert was issued Friday and was still in effect at press time. The investigation to date had developed information that it was likely that Foley boarded a train in New Haven on Friday afternoon and travelled to New York City. It was believed he could be in the Brooklyn, New York area. Clinton Police were in contact with both the MTA Police in New York City well as the NYPD in an attempt to try and locate Foley. Anyone with any information as to the whereabouts of Samuel Foley is urged to call Clinton police at 860-669-0451.
Friday, Aug. 15
• A 26 year-old Deep River woman was arrested at 12:38 a.m. and charged with criminal violation of a protective order following a motor vehicle stop on Old Post Road at Founders Road.
• A 25 year-old Middlefield man was arrested at 2:14 a.m. and charged with burglary in the third degree (from a building), criminal trespass in the first degree, interfering with an officer (non-assaultive), assault on a officer (causing or capable of causing injury), and criminal mischief in the third degree.
• A 34 year-old man of an East Main Street apartment was issued a citation at 2:08 a.m. for possession of less than ½ ounce of marijuana.
• Harassment was investigated on West Main Street at 3:40 p.m.
• Criminal mischief was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 4:39 p.m.
• Harassment was investigated on East Main Street at 7:25 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 16
No arrests were made.
• Harassment was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 12:54 p.m.
• Harassment was investigated on West Road at 3:44 p.m.
• A domestic dispute was investigated on Shore Road at 7:08 p.m.
