• A narcotics violation was investigated on Green Hill Road by Trooper Matthew Ward at 9:46 p.m.

• A 16 year-old Clinton girl was issued a citation at 6:06 p.m. for passing on the right after the 2004 Kia Amanti she was operating southbound on Route 81 near the Route 80 traffic circle struck a motor scooter operated by a 58 year-old man of Stone Pasture Lane.
Monday, July 7
No arrests were made.
• At 1:14 p.m. troopers reported that a stolen John Deere backhoe was recovered at 319 Route 81. The backhoe was reported stolen from a North Haven property on July 5. The backhoe was returned to its owner. The suspected thief was described at a white male standing six feet in height, thin build, with short dark slicked back hair and a goatee. The suspect—whom police believe is from the Cromwell area--was last seen wearing a white tee shirt, blue jeans, and logging boots. Anyone with information about this suspect is asked to call police at 860-399-2111.
