Guilford Police Incident Report for Nov. 5 and 6


The Guilford Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for length and content.

Tuesday, Nov. 5 

• No arrests were made.

• An incident involving marijuana was reported at Bittner Park, 1300 Durham Road, 2:03 a.m.

• A theft of an automobile was reported from a Boston Post Road address, 700 block, 11:09 a.m. No other details were available from police.

• A license plate was reported stolen from a trailer, North Street.

• An IPhone was found in a garbage receptacle on the town green, 9:27 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 6

• A 23 year-old East Haven resident was charged with conspiracy and fifth-degree larceny.

• Officers removed seven pounds of prescription drugs discarded by the public in collection locker at police headquarters, 400 Church St.

• Breach of peace, Boston Post Road, 300 block, 12:58 p.m.

• A caller reported hearing gunshots or blasting behind Baldwin Middle School, 68 Bullard Drive, 1:33 p.m.

• Violation of town ordinance, resident blowing fallen leaves into the street, Sam Hill Road, 3:59 p.m.

• Shoplifting incident, Wal*Mart, 900 Boston Post Road, 10:18 p.m.

From Oct. 31 through Nov. 6, Guilford Police Department received 240 calls for service. Police made nine arrests, investigated seven motor vehicle accidents, issued 14 infractions, 69 written warnings and two verbal warnings. Police made six child safety seat installations.
