Westbrook Police Incident Report for April 24 and 25
The Harbor News publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Clinton, Westbrook, and Old Saybrook. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.
Wednesday, April 24
• No arrests were made.
• A 71 year-old Middletown woman was issued a citation at 11:35 a.m. for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart after the 2009 Hyundai Sonata she was operating on Route 145 southbound struck the rear of a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta operated by a 49 year-old Chester man. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
• A 46 year-old man of a Boston Post Road apartment was issued a citation at 5:35 p.m. for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart after the 1999 Nissan Altima he was operating on Fawn Hill Road struck the rear of a 2012 Honda CRV operated by a 36 year-old man of Long Meadow, Massachusetts. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
Thursday, April 25
• No arrests were made.
• A 31 year-old Bridgeport man was issued a citation at 7:3 a.m. for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart after the 2005 Chevy Express he was operating struck the rear of a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer operated by a 41 year-old New Haven man. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.
