Deep River Incident Report for March 27 to April 2
The Valley Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Essex, Deep River, and Chester. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.
Wednesday, March 27 - Sunday, March 31
• No arrests were made and no incidents were reported.
Monday, April 1
• A 22 year-old Old Lyme woman was arrested at 1:19 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct, interfering with an emergency call, and assault in the third degree following a domestic dispute at a Scenic Drive residence. In the same incident a 24 year-old man of Scenic Drive was charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the third degree. A 22 year-old Old Lyme woman was named as an alleged victim in the incident.
• A 51 year-old man of a Main Street apartment was issued a written warning at 6:57 a.m. for passing in a no passing zone after the 2003 Chevrolet Impala he was operating struck the front bumper of a 2012 Dodge Ram pick-up truck operated by an 82 year-old man of Westbrook Road. The accident occurred in a no passing zone on Route 154 south of Kelsey Hill Road. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident.
