North Branford Police Incident Report or Sept. 22 to 25


The Sound publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in Branford and North Branford. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Saturday, Sept. 22

• No arrests were made.

• A 32 year-old Coventry man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 4:34 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension. He was operating a black 1998 Pontiac Grand Am.

Sunday, Sept. 23 - Tuesday, Sept. 25

• No arrests were made.

• From September 19 to 25 North Branford police also issued seven citations to motorists for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, three citations for traveling unreasonably fast, and three citations for failure to obey a stop sign. One citation was issued for each of the following: failure to have tail lamps or illuminated marker plate, failure to drive a reasonable distance apart, using a hand-held cell phone while driving, failure to have headlights lit or devices illuminated, operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license, failure to renew registration, failure to have two headlamps, failure to display plate, and speeding.
