Old Saybrook Police Incident Report for Aug. 17 to 19


The Harbor News publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Clinton, Westbrook, and Old Saybrook. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Friday, Aug. 17

• No arrests were made.

Saturday, Aug. 18

• A 47 year-old Middletown man was arrested at 2:12 p.m. and charged with violation of a protective order. He was held in lieu of a $10,000 surety bond.

• A juvenile was arrested at 9:56 p.m. and charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. The youth was released to a parent and issued a September 5 court date.

• An 18 year-old woman of Fenwood Drive was charged with possession of alcohol by an underage person, possession of less than ½ ounce of marijuana, and used and possession of drug paraphernalia containing less then ½ ounce of marijuana following an incident on Maple Avenue.

• A 29 year-old West Hartford man was issued a citation at 1:45 a.m. for possession of ½ ounce of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on Route 1 near the railroad bridge.

Sunday, Aug. 19

• A 39 year-old man of a North Main Street apartment was arrested at 1:54 a.m. and charged with burglary in the second degree, two counts of larceny in the sixth degree, and three counts of credit card theft. He was held in lieu of a $10,000 surety bond pending an August 28 court date.
