Chester Police Incident Report for Aug. 29 to Sept. 4
The Valley Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Essex, Deep River, and Chester. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.
Wednesday, Aug. 29
• No arrests were made and no incidents were reported.
Thursday, Aug. 30
• A 51 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 6:17 p.m. and charged with larceny in the third degree. He was released after posting a $5,000 surety bond and pending an unspecified court date.
Friday, Aug. 31
• No arrests were made and no incidents were reported.
Saturday, Sept. 1
• A 41 year-old woman of Bokum Road was arrested at 10:12 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief in the fourth degree following a domestic dispute.
• A 58 year-old New Britain woman was issued a citation at 8:50 p.m. for failure to maintain the proper lane of a multiple lane highway following a one-vehicle accident. She was adjusting equipment in the 2004 Buick LaSabre when she lost control of the vehicle and crashed through a wire rope guardrail. The LeSabre came to rest against a tree down an embankment.
Sunday, Sept. 2
• No arrests were made and no incidents were reported.
Monday, Sept. 3
• A 54 year-old Middletown woman was arrested at 8:21 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to drive in the proper lane of a multiple lane highway.
Tuesday, Sept. 4
• No arrests were made and no incidents were reported.
