Old Saybrook Police Incident Report for May 20 to 22


The Harbor News publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Clinton, Westbrook, and Old Saybrook. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Sunday, May 20

• A 34 year-old man of Boston Post Road was arrested at 8:47 p.m. and charged with interfering with an officer. He was held in lieu of a $5,000 surety bond pending court presentation. In the same incident a 37 year-old man of Uncas Road was charged with harassment in the second degree. He was released after posting a $2,500 surety bond pending court presentation.

• A 17 year-old was issued a citation at 2:24 a.m. for transporting more persons than seat belts and violation of passenger restrictions for a 16 or 17 year-old driver licenses between six months and one year following a motor vehicle stop on Schoolhouse Road.

• A 25 year-old Deep River man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 5:31 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension and failure to maintain a reasonable distance apart following a motor vehicle accident on Main Street at Boston Post Road.

• A 45 year-old Madison man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:41 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension and unnecessary noise following a motor vehicle stop on Main Street at Boston Post Road.

• A 21 year-old Killingworth woman was issued a citation at 9:41 p.m. for having a nuisance dog on Fordham Trail.

Monday, May 21

• No arrests were made.

• A 17 year-old was issued a citation at 9:55 a.m. for possession of less than ½ ounce of marijuana at Trask Park

Tuesday, May 22

• A 52 year-old Westbrook man was arrested at 9:10 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.
