Clinton Police Incident Report for May 13 to 15


The Harbor News publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Clinton, Westbrook, and Old Saybrook. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

Sunday, May 13

• A 35 year-old Killingworth woman was arrested at 7:58 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree and criminal attempt to commit larceny following a shoplifting incident on East Main Street. 

• A 51 year-old Huntington man was issued misdemeanor summons at 12:18 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension following a motor vehicle stop in front of Dunkin Donuts.

• A missing person complaint was investigated on Bright Hill Drive at 12:59 a.m.

• Criminal mischief was investigated on Riverside Drive at 1:36 p.m.

Monday, May 14

• A 20 year-old Haddam man was arrested at 12:33 p.m. on a warrant charging him with burglary in the third degree, criminal mischief in the second degree, and larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 52 year-old woman of an Old Mill Road apartment was issued a misdemeanor summons at 6:45 p.m. for failure to have insurance and failure to renew driver’s license following a motor vehicle stop on East Main Street.

• Six individuals were issued citations at 12:47 a.m. for simple trespass following a trespass complaint on East Main Street. The cited trespassed included a 21 year-old man of Woodland Drive, a 22 year-old man of Sunnybrook Lane, a 21 year-old Guilford man, a 22 year-old Southington man, a 21 year-old man of Waldwick, New Jersey, and a 23 year-old man of Woonsocket, Rhode Island.

• Threatening was investigated on East Main Street at 12:36 p.m.

• A missing person complaint was investigated on Ben Merrill Road at 10:53 p.m.

Tuesday, May 15

• A 15 year-old was arrested at 3:18 p.m. on a warrant charging larceny in the fifth degree and criminal trespass in the third degree.

• A suspicious person report was investigated on Silver Birch Lane at 6:14 p.m.
