Westbrook Police Incident Report for March 30 and 31


The Harbor News publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Clinton, Westbrook, and Old Saybrook. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content. Friday, March 30Saturday, March 31Senior correspondent Jason J. • No arrests were made.

• At 11:28 a.m. police reported that a 50 year-old Old Saybrook woman was operating a 2012 Chevy Impala when she was struck in the rear by an unknown vehicle that fled the scene. No injuries were reported.

• A 48 year-old man of Horse Hill Road was arrested at 1:15 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to keep right after the investigating trooper observed a vehicle traveling down the middle of Norris Avenue. The vehicle was stopped and the driver failed a standardized field sobriety test.
