North Branford Police Incident Report for Jan. 3

The Sound publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in Branford and North Branford. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content. Tuesday, Jan. 3Senior correspondent Jason J. • A 38 year-old man of Great Oak Road in Northford was arrested at 12:37 p.m. and charged with criminal violation of a restraining order.

• A 50 year-old man of Echo Circle was arrested at 10:55 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the third degree.

• A 59 year-old woman of Valley Road was issued a misdemeanor summons at 6:57 a.m. for failure to have insurance and a right hand lane violation. She was operating a gray 2005 Hyundai Accent.

• From December 28 to January 3 North Branford police also issued four citations to motorists for operating an unregistered motor vehicle. One citation was issued for each of the following: Operating a motor vehicle in violation of license classification, using a hand-held cell phone while driving, passing on the right, failure to obey a control signal, traveling unreasonably fast, failure to have stop lamps, improper passing, and operating a motor vehicle with a crowded front seat.
