Guilford Police Incident Report for May 25


The Guilford Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for length and content.Wednesday, May 25From May 19 through May 25 the Guilford Police Department received 215 calls for service. Police made five arrests, investigated six motor vehicle accidents, issued 20 infractions, 13 written warnings and three verbal warnings. Pam Johnson compiles the Police Incident Report.

• Violation of town ordinance, educational materials being sold from individual traveling by vehicle into neighborhood, seller asking resident for other households with children in area; Williams Drive, 10:10 a.m. The seller was located by police and issued an infraction.

• Bomb scare report, administrator contacted police to report note found in bathroom regarding bomb set to go off at 1 p.m.; Guilford High School, 605 New England Road, 12:31 p.m.

• Property lost, three hubcaps lost while making stops along the Boston Post Road, 800 block, 12:37 p.m.

• Theft, library visitor's external hard drive taken while at Guilford Free Public Library, 67 Park St.; incident occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m.

• A set of keys found in the vicinity of 10 Boston Post Road were turned in at police headquarters, 400 Church St.

• Family dispute, Great Hill Road, 6:28 p.m.

• Unwanted person, male at entrance, Wal*Mart, 900 Boston Post Road; second violation, 6:28 p.m.

• Police assisted at a call reported a breach of peace at Friendly's Restaurant, two customers arguing in the dining room, one reportedly using a fork to stab at the other; 961 Boston Post Road, 6:46 a.m.

• Dog bite incident, late report, person bitten on Whitfield Street earlier in the day; reported at 7:31 p.m.
