Branford Police Incident Report for March 1

The Sound publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in Branford and North Branford. • An 18 year-old Guilford man was arrested at 1:30 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to drive right, and evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident).

• From Feb. 23 top March 1 Branford police also issued 23 citations to motorists for using a hand-held cell phone while driving, 12 citations for failure to obey a control signal, and 10 citations for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
