Branford Police Incident Report for Feb. 22

The Sound publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in Branford and North Branford. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content. Tuesday, Feb. 22Senior correspondent Jason J. Marchi compiles the Police Incident Report.

• A 54 year-old Guilford woman was arrested at 6:25 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.

• A 34 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 7 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree, operating a motor vehicle while under license suspension, and failure to have insurance.

• A 28 year-old West Haven man was arrested at 11:15 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.

• A 64 year-old Madison woman was arrested at 11:23 a.m. and charged with following too close with intent to harass. In the same incident a 62 year-old man of Shore Drive was charged with the same.  

• From Feb. 16 to 22 Branford police also issued 24 citations to motorists for failure to obey a control signal and 21 citations for using a hand-held cell phone while driving.
