Killingworth Police Incident Report for Jan. 27
The Source publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in Madison and Killingworth. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content. Thursday, Jan. 27Senior correspondent Jason J. • A 34 year-old man of Schnoor Road was arrested at 4:08 a.m. and charged with breach of peace, assault in the third degree, and strangulation in the third degree following a domestic dispute. In the same incident a 43 year-old Higganum woman was charged with breach of peace and assault in the third degree.
• A 36 year-old Guilford man was arrested and charged with breach of peace and threatening. The accused called the Amerigas call center and threatened to burn down the Amerigas facility located on Route 80 in Killingworth. The accused was processed on a $5000 surety bond pending court arraignment on Feb. 8.
• At 12:06 p.m. Trooper Judson Howes investigated at two vehicle accident in town. A 20 year-old Clinton woman was operating a 1999 Honda Civic when she lost control on the wet, slushy road. A 51 year-old man of Laurel Ridge Trail was operating a 2001 Toyota Camry behind the Honda when he attempted to steer left to go around the Honda. He struck the stopped vehicle instead. No injuries were reported at the scene and no enforcement action was indicated.
