Guilford Police Incident Report for Jan. 11 and 12
The Guilford Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for length and content.

• A 30 year-old Bridgeport resident was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs or both, after police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on the side of Durham Road, 4500 block, 12:29 a.m.
• A 32 year-old Branford resident was charged with breach of peace, after police responded to a fight in a parking lot, 2293 Boston Post Road, 8 p.m.
• Assistance was requested with a sprinkler system water pipe break, Trav’s Mobile, 1164 Boston Post Road, 4:18 p.m.
• Criminal mischief, graffiti, Guilford Free Public Library, 67 Park St.
• Family dispute, Whitfield Street, 6:20 p.m.
• No arrests were made.
• Mailbox struck by private snow plow, Sugarloaf Road.
• Fence post damaged by town snow plow, Summer Street.
• Neighbor trouble, North Street, 2:44 p.m.
• Animal nuisance, two donkeys near County Road and Route 77, 4:05 p.m.
• Breach of peace, Driftwood Lane, 5:15 p.m.
• A car fire was reported on Edgewood Road, 6:43 p.m.
From Dec. 30 through Jan.12, the Guilford Police Department received 488 calls for service. Police made 16 arrests, investigated 29 motor vehicle accidents, issued 20 infractions, 46 written warnings and seven verbal warnings. Police made nine child safety seat installations.
