Guilford Police Incident Report for Dec. 22
The Guilford Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for length and content.Wednesday, Dec. 22From Dec. 16 through Dec. 22, the Guilford Police Department received 241 calls for service. Police made eight arrests, investigated 10 motor vehicle accidents, issued 11 infractions, 26 written warnings and one verbal warning. • A 45 year-old Woodland Road resident was charged with threatening.
• A caller reported spotting a turkey which appeared stuck in a tree, Old Sachems Head Road, 7:11 a.m.
• Miscellaneous theft incident, West Side Cemetery, Three Mile Course; reported at 11:34 a.m.
• Breach of peace, woman in lobby yelling about not having credit card returned, Dunkin’ Donuts, 556 Boston Post Road, 1:12 p.m.
• Burglary, front door forced, West Lake Avenue; incident occurred sometime between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., reported at 1:40 p.m.
• Theft, jewelry taken from home, visitor suspected; Grove Hill Road.
• Theft, caller reports bag containing bank checks and prescription pad taken while at post office, reported at 5:12 p.m.
