• Burglary, rear door forced, US Toasted Sub Shop, 1200 Boston Post Road.
• Attempted burglary, Guilford Win Company, 1200 Boston Post Road.
• A vehicle was reported for passing a school bus with its lights flashing, children exiting, Duck Hole Road, 12:43 p.m. Police were given the vehicle’s license plate number.
• Theft, bike taken from outside Guilford High School science wing; late report, incident occurred in December.
• Family dispute, Landon’s Way, 4:09 p.m.
• A wallet was reported lost on Broad Street.
Friday, Jan. 15
No arrests were made.
• Theft from auto, window broken, purse stolen, West Lake Avenue.
• Theft from autos; three cars broken into at Fowler’s Nursing Center/Apple Rehab, 10 Boston Post Road, reported at 7:02 a.m.
• Family dispute, Wauwinet Court, 7:25 a.m.
• Police assisted Madison police with locating a 16 year-old at a South Hoop Pole Road residence, 7:39 a.m.
• Theft, wallet and cash stolen, boys locker room, Guilford High School, 605 New England Road; 1:22 p.m.
• Breach of peace, customer threw sandwich at clerk, US Toasted Sub, 1200 Boston Post Road, 3:48 p.m. Police were given the customer’s vehicle license plate number.
Saturday, Jan. 16
No arrests were made.
• A dispute was reported involving tenants at a Church Street residence, 1:05 a.m.
• Suspicious activity; report of shots fired; stress fracture to window found, Boston Post Road, 600 block, 8:40 a.m. Police were given a description of a vehicle in the area at the time of the incident.
• Family dispute, Long Hill Road, 2200 block, 10:58 a.m.
• Three youths walking in an unsafe area of North River Street were reported at 2:37 p.m.
• Theft from auto, pocketbook stolen from vehicle, Big Y Supermarket parking lot, 830 Boston Post Road, 5:09 p.m.
• A resident reported an 11 year-old daughter had received sexual material via the Internet, 9:38 p.m.
Sunday, Jan. 17
No arrests were made.
• Suspicious activity, hunters on Guilford Land Conservation Trust property, vicinity Farmview Drive, 11:25 a.m.
• Youths on skateboards were reported on Concept Park private property, 741 Boston Post Road, 1:39 p.m.
• An adult female contacted police by cell phone to report she was lost in West Woods, off Sam Hill Road, 2:47 p.m. She was located by fire department members.
• Theft, painting missing from home, Water Street.
Monday, Jan. 18
No arrests were made.
• Public hazard, fallen boulder in southbound traffic lane, Durham Road, 4000 block, 7:16 a.m.
• Possible violation of town ordinance, open fire in backyard, Russo Drive, 3:25 p.m. The fire was a campfire within proper ordinance parameters.
• Family dispute, Highwoods Drive, 8:44 p.m.
Tuesday, Jan. 19
• A 29 year-old New Haven resident was charged on a warrant with issuing two counts of bad check and sixth-degree larceny.
• Police assisted Branford police with an attempt to contact a person at a Mulberry Point Road residence, 4 a.m., after Branford police found a vehicle registered to the address in Guilford with two flat tires and some blood inside the vehicle. The Guilford house was vacant.
• A wallet was reported lost at Foodworks, 3:38 p.m.
• Two youths walking in town hall after hours, checking door handles in the basement where 24-hour communication center is located, 31 Park St., 4:42 p.m. The area was clear when police arrived.
• Fraud, unauthorized cell phone account opened in resident’s name.
• Dumping violation, vacuum in private Dumpster outside Guilford Free Library, 8:45 p.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 20
• Police escorted a male from a Guilford residence after he was served a warrant; 4:27 p.m. No other details were available from police.
• Police served a warrant on a juvenile resident who was then transported by police to juvenile hall, 4:29 p.m. No other information was available from police.
• A veterinary technician was bitten on the finger by an animal, 100 Hubbard Road, 12:43 p.m.
• Fireworks discharged, Weatherly Trail, 3:05 p.m.
• Skateboarders in the parking lot, Boston Street, 3:06 p.m. They were gone when police arrived.
• Breach of peace, patient vs. patient, Fowler Nursing Center/Apple Rehab, 10 Boston Post Road, 4:58 p.m.
From Jan. 14 through 20 the Guilford Police Department received 265 calls for service. Police made one arrest and issued 16 infractions, 81 written warnings, and five verbal warnings.
