11/15/2024 09:56 AMIt is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Joel Matthew Kaminsky, who left us on Nov. 7, 2024, at the age of 55. Born on Aug. 21, 1969, Joel was the cherished son of the late Kenneth Kaminsky Sr. and Janet (Mortali) Kaminsky of Branford. He is survived by his beloved siblings, Kenneth Jr. and his wife Sonia, who reside in Madison, and Keith Kaminsky, who resides in Branford. Joel was a devoted uncle, leaving behind loving niece Julia Kaminsky and nephew Kenneth “Trey” Kaminsky III, who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
For 15 years Joel served as a Eucharistic minister for St. Mary’s Church (Saint John Bosco), exemplifying his commitment to faith and community.
He was a proud member of the Branford Elks, the Knights of Columbus, and the Branford Yacht Club. He attended Notre Dame High School in West Haven, where his good-natured spirit and warmth left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Whether Joel was boating, fishing, or just spending time with friends and family, he will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the joy he brought to those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Rest in peace, Joel. You will be deeply missed.
