11/15/2024 09:58 AMEileen “Leenie” (Sullivan) Fabian, 81, passed away on Nov. 7, 2024. Born in Philadelphia, Eileen was the second of four children of John W. Sullivan (1915-1996) and Virginia B. Sullivan (1918-2005).
Eileen and her family were long-time residents of the Connecticut shoreline, including Madison and Branford. She was married to the late Wallace “Buzz” Fabian in June of 1977. Eileen dedicated more than 25 years of her career to Yale University in the Alumni Fund.
She is survived by two children, Michael T. Fabian (his wife Taryn Fabian) and their two children, Addilynn and Leighton of East Lyme, and Peter F. Fabian. Eileen is also survived by her two brothers, Franklin Sullivan and Clinton Sullivan, and her four nieces and two nephews. Eileen was predeceased by her late husband in 2013 and her sister Marsha Sullivan Delaney in 2016.
Anyone who knew Eileen knew that she dedicated her life to her family and friends. Her kindness, compassion, and selflessness were her greatest attributes. She would say being a wife, mom, friend, and grandmother would be her greatest accomplishments.
“Mom, we hope you’re relaxing on a beach for the rest of your days.” “Remember, I’ll always be here for you, even if you can’t see me, because I love you.”
