June (Mortimer) Squeglia, 78, of Branford, passed away Nov. 3, 2024, at the Guilford House in Guilford. She was born June 21, 1946, in Boston, to George and Anne (Greene) Mortimer. June is survived by her brothers, Thomas Mortimer of Branford, and Bruce Mortimer of Buffalo; along with three step-grandchildren, Kim, Heather and Wayne; and one great-grandson, Billy. June is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Angelo Squeglia; her second husband, Thomas Zacks; stepdaughter Lorraine Brooks; and two brothers, Bill Mortimer and George Mortimer Jr.

June worked in the Trust Department for Wells Fargo and retired after 46 years of service. She was a generous lady, always willing to give or donate to any veteran’s organizations. She was a loving wife, stepmother, sister, and friend.

Family received friends on Nov. 7 in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Avenue, East Haven. Her funeral procession left the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home for Mass of Christian burial in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, 80 Taylor Avenue, East Haven with committal following at East Lawn Cemetery.
