Warren Harris


Warren A. Harris, 73, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Oct. 17, 2024, at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 50 years to Myla Piekarski Harris. Warren was born in New Haven on Sept. 29, 1951, and was the son of the late Edward and Elnora Rice Harris.

A graduate of Wilber Cross High School, New Haven, he later earned an associate’s degree from the former Southern Connecticut State College. Warren worked as a hemodialysis technician for Yale New Haven Hospital and later as a control room operator for the Regional Water Authority for many years until his retirement, where he served as past president of the United Steel Workers Union. A real car enthusiast, Warren enjoyed going to car shows and also enjoyed his Mustang and his limited-edition yellow Dodge Rumble Bee.

He was the loving father to Dorian Harris (Roxanne), Amber Golanski, and Ciara Cifarelli (Jeffrey); proud grandfather of Hunter, Gwenevieve, and Oliver Harris, Whitney Golanski, and Addison Cifarelli.; brother of Wayne Harris; and uncle of Michael Harris.

Family and friends are invited at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, to go directly to Faith United Methodist Church, 81 Clintonville Road, North Haven, to attend a Memorial Service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org.
