Sharon Canosa


Sharon Canosa, 75, a beloved resident of Branford for 45 years, passed away on Sept. 28, 2024. She was the devoted wife of Albert Canosa for 52 years. Born in West Haven, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Margaret Good.

Sharon is survived by five brothers: William (Cindi) Good of Guilford, James (Ronnie) Good of Colchester, Paul Good of Hamden, Kenneth (Sue) Good of Wallingford, and Dean Good of Reno, Nevada. She was the loving mother of Adam Canosa (Rabab) of North Branford and a cherished grandmother to Cooper and Caprio Canosa of North Branford.

Sharon earned her undergraduate degree in English from Southern Connecticut State University and worked in various administrative roles for the State of Connecticut. She was also acknowledged for contributing to Dr. Daniel Levinson’s renowned book, The Seasons of a Man’s Life. This 10-year study of 40 adult males identified key developmental phases affecting men’s behavior, emotions, and personal growth. Dr. Levinson, a pioneer in positive adult development, is best known for his stage-crisis theory and made significant contributions to psychology. In addition to her professional life, Sharon was an active volunteer in her community. Her favorite role was with Connecticut Hospice of Branford, where she dedicated much of her time to helping others.

Her family, friends, and everyone who knew her will deeply miss her.

Her funeral will leave at 9:30 a.m. Friday morning, Oct. 4, the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, for a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. John Bosco Parish at St. Mary Church. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday evening, Oct. 3, at the funeral home.
