10/03/2024 01:57 PMPamela passed away peacefully on Aug. 3, 2024, at her home in Paradise, California. She was born on Oct. 16, 1958. Pammy was the daughter of the late Joseph and Viola Handy of North Branford. She was the third of six children.
She is survived by her two daughters, Nicole Sarah Casey of West Haven and Crystal Logan Handy (David Maher) of New Haven; her three grandchildren, David Maher, Alyssa Maher, and Alex Maher; and her siblings, Randi Palmisano (Robert) of Lake Worth, Florida, Joseph Handy (Michael Murratti) and Cheryl Gladding (Coit) of East Haven, Paul Handy (Michelle) of North Branford and Brenda Oppel (Jim) of Branford. She also leaves behind four nephews and seven nieces.
She left her home and family in April 1995 and headed west. She eventually found her paradise in Paradise, California. Pammy loved her family, especially her daughters. She was a spiritual soul and worshiped our God. She was a strong advocate for every animal and would rescue every cat and dog that she could. From a young teen and until the day she passed she was a caregiver to the elderly and disabled. We can’t express how heartbroken we are but take comfort knowing she is pain free.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13, at the North Branford Congregational Church, 1680 Foxon Road, North Branford.
