Gail Ackman

On Sept. 22, 2024, Gail Ackman, 71, a resident of Guilford, passed away unexpectedly at home. She was the wife of Alan Ackman for 44 years.

Gail was born in New Haven on June 2, 1953, the daughter of the late Francis “Frank” Gordon and Charlotte (Mullin) Gordon.

Loving mother of the late Anthony Chialastri Jr., Joel Chialastri (Heatherlea) of Wallingford, and Alan Ackman Jr. of Guilford.

She is also survived by grandchildren Anthony, Carissa, Evan and Tanner Chialastri, Darla Mae Rasmussen, and Nicholas Ackman. She was also the proud great-grandmother to Dahlia Chialastri.

Sister of Wendy Dunham of Florida, Scott Gordon of Massachusetts, and the late William Gordon of Guilford. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Gail attended North Haven High School. Before retirement, she worked at CT Valley Industries for many years. Alongside her mother, she was the family florist for all of the many weddings and special events.

She enjoyed spending time with her husband and family. She loved going to bingo with her mom, reading books, gardening, many crafting projects, and coaching Little League for her children and grandchildren.

Memorial services and burial services will be held privately.
