Eric Carlson

Eric Carlson, of Branford, passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 20, 2024, surrounded by his children. Eric was born in New Haven on May 31, 1945, to Carl Iver and Nora Scully Carlson. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Carol “Honey” Dombrowski. He leaves behind his children: Deborah Carlson Cooney (Chris Cooney) of Berkley, Massachusetts; Stephanie Carlson (John Bruner) of Easthampton, MA; Rebecca Moriarty (Kevin Moriarty) of Branford; and Eric Carlson Jr. (Kim Carlson) of Branford; and grandchildren: Keegan, Peyton and Christy Moriarty; Lily, Ella and Jocie Cooney; and Ashley and Emily Carlson.

Eric was a former teacher at St. Mary’s and Roberto Clemente Middle School. He was a lifelong resident of Branford and greatly enjoyed living in a shoreline community surrounded by family and friends.

Services will be private, and a celebration of life will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Give Kids the World at www.gktw.org. The W.S.
