Charles Williams
Charles “Chuck” Adam Williams, beloved husband of Karen Klarman Williams, died at Connecticut Hospice on Sept. 6, 2024, after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his son, Randall Williams; stepchildren, Joshua Styles (Ivy Johnson) and Jessica Styles (Ruik Sicignano); and granddaughter, Hayden. Chuck is also survived by his sisters, Denise Gustafson and Carla Williams, and his brother, Ed Williams. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Chuck was predeceased by his parents, Martha Sattig Williams and Carl Williams; his sister, Martha Ann Lorton; and his brothers, Ronald (Janette Vincent) Williams and Russell (Ruth Alcorn) Williams.
Chuck was born and raised in Woodbridge and graduated from Amity High School in 1971. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1972 to 1978 on the USS Sherman. After his discharge from the Navy, he worked for the New Haven Register, then for the U.S. Postal Service, from which he retired. Chuck’s real passion was music, and he was a drummer for many years in various bands, including Chilldren, Phil Fingerz Band, Flyin’ the Ensign, Electric Eye, and Spinning Wheel.
Services will be private, with a celebration of life for all to attend between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, at La Luna Restaurant in Branford.
Our family would like to thank Dr. Sacco, Dr. Prestia, Kathryn, Eden, Tenise, Susan, Michelle, Justice, Irv, and all the wonderful nurses and in-patient staff whose names we overlooked at Connecticut Hospice for their care and compassion. Our sincere and heartfelt thanks to the entire Home Care staff who supported Chuck at home for 11 months. Janet and Charan, we could never express our deepest thanks for such amazing care.
