Peter Banca

eter A. Banca of Branford died Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, at Evergreen Woods in North Branford. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen D’Agostino Banca. Peter was born in New Haven on Nov. 22, 1948, son of the late Attilio “Duke” Banca and Florence Ambrosoli Banca.

Peter grew up in Florida and Stony Creek. Peter worked in finance for the Town of Branford. He also worked for many years at Liberty Bank. He enjoyed his time boating.

Besides Kathy, Peter is survived by his daughter, Peyton Ashley Banca of Branford.

His funeral left from the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, for a Mass of Christian burial on Aug. 20 in St. John Bosco Parish at St. Therese Church, 105 Leetes Island Road, Branford. Burial followed in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford. Visitation was prior to the Mass at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter, 749 East Main Street, Branford, CT 06405, or to the Art & History Museum of Maitland, 231 West Packwood Ave., Maitland, FL 32751.
