Donna Malley
Donna L. Rappe Malley, 77, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on July 31 at Yale New Haven Hospital with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 42 years to Thomas D. Malley III. Donna was born in New London on March 9, 1947, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Alice Brandt Rappe.
She attended Post Teachers College in Waterbury and worked for the North Haven Board of Education for 25 years in both the Main Administration Building and as a secretary at Montowese Elementary School until her retirement. Donna was a member of the North Haven High School Sports Hall of Fame, the Town of North Haven Community Service Committee, the North Haven Beautification Committee, and the North Haven Girl’s Booster Club, and she volunteered for the Special Olympics. Donna enjoyed gardening, but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally.
She was the mother of Erin Kesegi and her husband Nathan, Thomas Malley IV and his wife Diane, and grandmother of Ava and Emma Malley.
The visiting hours were on Aug. 5 at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Aug. 6 in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven. Interment followed in All Saints Cemetery.
